These terms and conditions govern all services provided by MADDE — floral compositions, the Bouquet Pass, weddings, private events, B2B collaborations, floral workshops, seasonal editions, and gifting. They apply to every quotation, order, and booking, and override any prior agreement unless explicitly amended in writing.
By confirming an order, the client acknowledges having read and accepted these terms in full.
All quotations issued by MADDE are valid for 15 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Prices are expressed in EUR and include VAT where applicable (MADDE operates under the Belgian VAT franchise regime — no VAT charged on invoices).
A booking is only considered confirmed upon receipt of both: (a) the signed quotation or written confirmation, and (b) payment of the deposit (see § 03). Until both are received, no dates, flowers, or atelier time are reserved.
For all custom orders exceeding €250 — including weddings, private events, brand activations, editorial productions, and custom compositions — a 60% deposit is required upon confirmation of the booking. This deposit secures the date, reserves atelier time, and allows MADDE to source the required flowers. The remaining 40% is due no later than 7 days before the delivery or collection date.
For Bouquet Pass purchases and seasonal edition pre-orders, full payment is required at the time of booking via Stripe. For recurring B2B subscriptions (Residency, Studio Pass), monthly invoicing applies as specified in the individual agreement.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. MADDE accepts Bancontact, credit card, and bank transfer. Late payment may incur a delay fee of 1% per month on any outstanding amount, in line with Belgian commercial practice.
Floristry is a seasonal and perishable craft. Flower availability depends on market conditions, weather, growers' harvests, and transport — all factors outside the atelier's direct control. Specific flower varieties, stem counts, or exact colors cannot be guaranteed, even when mentioned in a proposal, moodboard, or preliminary design.
What MADDE guarantees: the agreed aesthetic direction, the overall color palette, the composition mood, the scale and format, and the quality standard. Where a specific flower proves unavailable on the day of composition, MADDE will substitute it with a variety of equal or superior quality, selected at the atelier's discretion to preserve the integrity and intention of the design.
By confirming an order, the client expressly acknowledges this floral reality and accepts that substitutions may occur. No refund, partial refund, or compensation will be granted on the grounds of substitution carried out in good faith under these terms.
Cancellations must be made in writing (email to maddeatelier@gmail.com). The following refund scale applies to deposits paid on custom orders:
Seasonal edition pre-orders (e.g. Mother's Day) are non-refundable but transferable to another pickup slot within the same edition window, subject to availability.
Bouquet Pass sessions are non-refundable once purchased but remain valid for 3 months and are freely transferable to any recipient of the client's choosing.
Delivery within the Brussels-Capital Region is included for orders over €150. Below this threshold, a flat delivery fee of €15 applies. Deliveries outside the Brussels-Capital Region are charged based on distance and will be quoted separately.
Delivery windows are proposed but cannot be guaranteed to the exact minute due to traffic or circumstances beyond the atelier's control. For weddings and time-sensitive events, MADDE will always schedule a comfortable delivery window with margin.
Risk transfers to the client upon delivery or collection. The client is responsible for inspecting the composition on receipt. Any issue must be reported within 24 hours to be considered.
MADDE cannot be held liable for:
In any event, MADDE's maximum liability is strictly limited to the amount actually paid by the client for the specific order at issue.
MADDE retains the right to photograph and document all completed compositions, arrangements, and installations for portfolio purposes — including use on the website, Instagram, press features, and marketing materials. Client identification (names, venues) will be omitted unless prior consent is given.
Clients who wish to opt out of portfolio usage may do so in writing before the delivery date, without affecting the order. Commercial reuse of MADDE's compositions, designs, or brand imagery by the client (beyond personal use) requires a prior written licensing agreement.
These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by Belgian law. Any dispute arising from the interpretation, performance, or termination of these terms shall first be subject to a good-faith negotiation attempt between the parties. Failing amicable resolution, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Brussels.
